  1. It’s funny how they’ve always been high schoolers even though the strip has run for almost 20 years. Hospitals still use ’em, but other than that, pagers are worlds away from the phones featured in the strip nowadays. It’s just sort of funny because people who were in high school with one of these technologies shouldn’t still be in high school – or probably shouldn’t _yet_ be in high school – with the other.

    Not complaining. I’m just pointing out how the strip’s had to adapt to stay relevant, and the funny result it’s had as far as generational technology goes. And of course, out of all the strips they could rerun, this would _not_ be one of them – and it’s not because of the different art style. 😉
