  1. One would also hope that Jeremy never becomes a “feminist”…Just what is it with comics these days?… they’re all pushing left-wing ideology, with none pushing the right. If this is the future of comics’ “progress”, where the comics page is just one huge left-wing editorial page, what would be the point of having a “Diversions” section of the paper, when it’s not a diversion any more, but just a continuation of the things that have been shoved down one’s throat the other 99% of the day?

    • First, if you don’t like it, you don’t have to read it. Your comment demonstrates that the right whines just as much as the left.

Second, he’s trying to increase his appeal to his teenage girlfriend. In case you’ve missed it, Jeremy makes an effort to modify his behavior to do that. Makes perfect sense, within the context of the strip.

Finally, if you only see “left-wing ideology” the rest of the day, maybe you should look elsewhere. Because there’s a lot of content on the right out there. If the places you go are all shifted to the left, that says more about you than the strip.

Honestly, I’m tired of both the left and the right. Increasingly, neither extreme makes much sense. Nothing in life is black and white, no matter how much you might want it to be. The inability to see that is what causes the divisiveness we see now. And both sides are to blame.
